Hello STR members! I am relatively new to the STR and looking for some advice on streaming services. Mainly how or if you offer them at your STR. If so, do you offer just the apps on your TV or do you sign into you accounts and allow guests access to you accounts?

Secondly, if you do offer these services at your property, do you use your business account, debit, or credit card to pay for the memberships?

Thanks in advance!

@Garrett Brown, Thank you for responding on this post. I do feel I have a lot of skills that I could offer that I have built from my current W-2 job. I currently work as a consultant, on a project that deals with a lot of risk assessment, identifying pain points for my client in areas of improvement, along with these types tasks, there is a lot of tracking and monitoring of multiple different requests that are going on at one time, as well as having to manage my team and personal to ensure we are meeting all necessary suspenses. The relationships and people skills that I have developed over the 6 years in working in this profession would also be a benefit in this market your working to build those relationships with possible vacation renters. Also, great point on joining some local Facebook groups, I will be sure to do that.

Hello fellow BPers! I am newer to the REI world, and have a few LTR under my belt. However, I am intrigued by the STR market and would like to connect to see if I could add value to someone in their business or help (Co-Host) managing their STR. I am eager to learn the ropes and see how I can support your business to give you more free time. Any and all advice as to how I can get more involved with this REI strategy is much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Thank you for the confirmation on that. I assumed that as well, but also like to cover myself. I appreciate the note as far as the background check too.

I have also used Zillow and received multiple applications through there, which seems to be a reliable resource. Another question I have in regards to the Zillow application is that, does that application legally give me the right to contact the renters work and rental history? Or do I need further consent from them?

Good morning! I am first time investor and am currently going through the rental application/property showing process. My question is that with the Rental Application, there is a $50 fee paid by the renters. Is this a sunk cost for possible renters or what is the appropriate approach? Do you have every potential renter complete this or only select one renter based off the pre-screening process?

Thanks in advance!
