Post: College Degree Help?

Hello, I am completely aware that a college degree is not necessary. However, I didn't discover the idea of building financial wealth through real estate until I was already two years through college. I have completed all of my pre requisites for general business administration and am now looking deeper into a degree that might help with real estate investing. Is the goal just to get a high paying 9-5, create other passive income forms to gain capital and invest? Is this not the way to go about it? All opinions, suggestions, and shared experiences are welcome.

Hello everyone, I plan on getting my RE License in a few months when I move to Sarasota, Florida but was wondering if this completely shuts out the door to wholesaling? From what I have gathered the reason this wouldn't work is because as an agent your goal should be to get the seller the best deal possible and the seller may believe if you offer a number on their house then that's what it's worth because you're a reputable agent. If you disclose your role in the deal to the seller is there really anything wrong with this? (Please feel free to reach out and connect with me as I will be doing various different things with real estate and am willing to connect with anyone)

Hello everyone, I have been researching into wholesaling and can't seem to find a good progressive guide on how to go about this. I have been trying to go through youtube and biggerpockets and seem to have a good broad aspect on it but feel like I am trying to stitch together a thousand different methods on this. I was wondering if anyone would help me kind of pinpoint this step by step what to research so I am not getting too far ahead of myself. (Feel free to reach out and connect no matter who you are as I plan on taking many different approaches to real estate once moving to Sarasota, Florida in a few months.)

@Jackson Coulter all the content you need is out there for free on YouTube, look for Sean Terry, Max Maxwell, Pace Morby, Brent Daniels. Also, read Flip from Nick Ruiz it'll give you the foundations.

Best of luck

I really appreciate the response! That will be a priority book I look into.

I recommend listening to quite a few BP podcasts before picking which angle you want to enter in to the market. Try to get the 30,000 foot view before focusing in on wholesaling. Also, if you're already intent on becoming a wholesaler, maybe do a cost/benefit analysis of either becoming a wholesaler or an agent before moving forward.

Hey Zev, thanks a lot for the insight. I am getting my license to be an agent this summer; I am just stuck in some dead space right now as I am moving to Sarasota, Florida in September so am looking for something to do in the meantime. I don't think it'd be worth marketing and building connections in Michigan just to move and join a team in Florida a few months later.

Hello everyone! I am 19 years old and brand new to the real estate world. I am looking to start my journey with wholesaling and was wondering if anyone had some good starting places to get the basic information I need to get me on my feet. I am looking to gain knowledge in all fields of real estate but feel wholesaling would be a good thing to do while I gain knowledge in other aspects of real estate. (Willing to connect with anyone as I will be entering many different fields/approaches to real estate)
