I would like to know what does ACRIS mean. Does it mean you letting others know you are in contract with seller or does it mean the property already been to the closing and you registering in public records.

I feel I understand the basics of wholesaling. But like to clarify a few things. Must I have the following things in place before I start:  Assignment contract for my area Brooklyn, New York with assign to included, earnest money $500-$1000, Real Estate Attorney or should I use a pre-paid attorney, title company/insurance, motivated seller(verified ownership), buyer (pre-qual or proof of funds). Is it good to put contracts when wholesaling in my name are create a business and put it in the business name. Any good title company/insurance you can suggest in Brooklyn, New York. Greatly appreciate you guys advice.

I used to be a real estate agent and made alot of money selling renovated foreclosure house for an investor until housing crash. He doing houses after he was sued. I started working for Fillmore Real Estate sold a couple houses and started doing rentals cause houses werent selling. I made no money so left the business. Still have an interest in doing real estate but only in investing by wholesaling, fix and flipping where I fill the money is.
