@Sean Haardt Thanks for the warm welcome! Yes, sounds like we certainly have very similar goals. :) Where did you buy your duplex by the way? And did you use a conventional loan?

Hello everyone!

My name is Jackie Forte. I am a new real estate investor in Maryland. I have been listening to the BiggerPockets podcasts and reading about real estate for about a month now. At 28 years of age, I think I've finally found my passion. I am eager to learn and can't wait to buy my first deal! :)

I am currently working as a Project Analyst/Accountant for an engineering firm. I am also working on my MBA part-time and I am working on obtaining a real estate agent license.

My short term goal is to buy properties in Maryland so that I can rehab them and sell them for a profit. I am starting with flipping so that I can acquire cash to start buying rental properties (single and multi). My long term goal is to have rental properties that produce enough income so that I can be financially free.

See you around BiggerPockets!

Jackie
