Thanks for the advice on next steps to take. I have already read through the Ultimate Beginner's Guide and found a ton of useful info, & I will look into the other books you recommended as well.

As for the REIA meetings, what's the best way to go about it? I did a simple Google search and found a meeting happening June 10th for AZREIA. Are groups on Meetup.com worthwhile as well?

Hey all, my name is Jon. I currently live and work in Tucson, AZ. I was born & raised here & plan to stay for the long haul.

I work at a local CPA firm that focuses mainly on tax preparation & bookkeeping. The work is semi seasonal as the busy part of the year is January - May and August - October to a lesser extent. As such, I work full time during those periods and part time for the remainder of the year.

I have been looking for a way to spend my time productively & supplement my income during the slower parts of the year. This is how I became interested in real estate investing. I have just started to dive into the wealth of knowledge available (blogs, youtube, podcasts). This search for real estate info has led me here. So hello & thanks for having me. I look forward to learning & investing soon!
