Hi Forum am in Chicago and was wondering if any one has heard of a service that will just go and collect the rent. I have older tenants that are not  computer savvy and not comfortable using apps to make payment.

Ricardo welcome to BP. Your living my dream, you jumped a step a head of me so it will be interesting to follow your journey as I plan my own. Unlike you, I am still in Chicago but looking to get back to family and friends in LA. I have a couple of rentals here and other great sources of income so the move is being given much consideration though the decision has been made. Will send you a colleague request.

Thanks for all the feedback. I have Quickbooks desktop pro and my accounts were set up by an accountant. I will do as suggested and do as much as I can as far as daily entries. I get some help to check that am doing the right thing. Thanks for helping to crystallize the path I will take.

Hi BP members, am hoping the brilliant minds here can help me out once again. I did a search in the forum on bookkeeping and only three questions came up on bookkeeping none of which got a reply so here goes the fourth. As a general rule of thumb at what point do you bring in a bookkeeper at 10, 20 or 3O units or should someone typically be able to handle the books for 30 units, and at what point would you move from a bookkeeper to an accountant. Is there some financial point where if its taking you X number of hours its better to hire help ? Also while there are many sites to get an accountant there seems to be only a few to find bookkeepers. Really curious about how others are handling their accounting. In my case am only dealing with seven SFH and one active rehab. Appreciate the feed back.

Appreciate again Mike, Trey and the others. I actually ended up renting. I had carried the property for well over six months more like nine.
