Thank you everyone for the great tips for future interactions on BP. Sorry for the late response, I work evenings so I tend to sleep until mid afternoon or so. @Sara Cunningham I believe I'll be staying in my local area. I do not have the knowledge on OKC. Perhaps we can discuss different aspects of the OKC market on messenger , I'm definitely not against broadening my investment options. @Paul Timmins, cant say thank you enough for all the suggestions you made. Ill take a look at each source. I have already read the ultimate guide and I listen to the podcasts on a daily basis, those bad boys are chalked full of information. @Jason Schlager thank you for the words of encouragement. I will try to attend some open houses so I can get a strong grasp on what people are looking for in my area.(Great suggestion) @Tyler Flagg It seems as though we are in the same situation. I hope the process of getting the ball rolling hasn't been an issue for you. I It's great to know that I have other investors in the Oklahoma area that I can have the opportunity to interact with. Good Day All,

I just want to start off by saying I'm extremely happy to be a part of the Bigger Pockets community, and I'm very anxious to start interacting with the wide range of different investors that contribute so much knowledge to the site. My name is Isaiah Burnside, sad to say I have had limited interactions with real estate up to this point. Investing in real estate caught my attention earlier this year, and I can’t wait to expand my knowledge on all its aspects. I am originally from Illinois, about an hour outside of Chicago. I currently reside in Altus, Oklahoma. I ended up in America's Bible belt because the Air Force transferred me here. I have only been a resident of Oklahoma for a few months now. I spent the last 7 years overseas traveling from Germany to Korea to Japan and ending up in Oklahoma. I will only be stationed in Altus until November of this year due to my separation from Active Duty, and my transition into the Reserves. My goal for real estate at the moment is to get over the ever-dreaded first step towards taking initial actions. I joined Bigger Pockets to help get over that fear by gaining knowledge from seasoned investors, along with interacting, and bouncing ideas back and forth between other members. I would like to purchase and sell 3 to 4 single-family homes to generate a decent nest egg to shift my ambitions towards the buy and hold approach of investing. Well, there you go that’s a little bit about myself, where I’ve been, where I am, and where I want to go with real estate.
