Damn looks like I missed this. In Nov 2021 I purchased a 2 family in Jersey city for >$1m with only $40k cash down 3 months after discovering bigger pockets and becoming motivated. I’m living in the bottom apartment with a tenant upstairs and planning a major rehab so I can Airbnb the basement of my duplex. 

@Mike Lambert I know…unfortunately we had no choice. 

@Mike Lambert did you ever find a good lawyer? We used Mexlaw too but their lawyer was horrible and was fired the day before we signed our contract. We ended up negotiating and drafting it ourselves (we're lawyers in the US) and it worked out fine, but I'd much prefer to have a good lawyer in Mexico on standby. Also looking for a decent tax accountant.

Mextax is terrible. We're using them now but looking for someone much better. Please let me know if anyone has any referrals.
