Thank you for the response. I’m transitioning full time into real estate in the summer and will have time to meet up with our local real estate meetups and groups. I just don’t have time due to my current job. I was just looking for different online locations to find some known coaches/mentors. I will look into it further. Thanks again for getting back to me!

I am in investor in Springfield, MO. I’m looking at getting a business coach/mentor. Any recommendations on where to look for possible options?

Do you recommend finding a local business coach/mentor or does that matter when it comes to coaching/mentorship?

Hi Issac,

I would love to be a valuable resource to you to find a small multi-family property in or around Kansas City. There are many great parts to Kansas City, as there are many people interested in the value the area brings. Blue Springs, Lee's Summit, North Kansas City, Independence, Belton, Parkville, are some great surrounding towns. There are nice neighborhoods within Kansas City such as Waldo, Brookside, and as you mentioned- near the Country Club Plaza. Let me know if you would like any additional information.

Thank you for that information! We’ll be up the next couple days as will check out those areas. I’ll reach out with any questions.

Hey, Isaac! If you need any funding needs, I can help you out! We have great multi family loans up to 9 unit properties. Our best programs are for 2-4 units but we can do 5-9 as well! I am located in Lees Summit.

Thanks Dalton! We looked at the only 3/2 in Lee’s Summit under $250k. That’s the sweet spot that everyone is looking for. We have banks in the Springfield area that we generally use but I may reach out with specific questions about this area. Thanks!

We invest in Springfield, MO and are looking at investing in small multifamily in KC. The only place I’ve really been in KC is the Plaza and that area seems pretty expensive. Interested in some of the towns outside KC as well but not sure which areas to avoid. Any guidance or leads would be appreciated. Thanks!

@Drew Sygit That’s a great way to look at it. I haven’t broken it down like that before, that’s very helpful. Thanks for that!

Tracy, thanks for that. I think I would start to resent rentals because of how much time I would have to put into managing the properties outside of my full time job. We are going to stay with our PM and focus on growing our business rather than managing it. I appreciate the advice!

Bjorn, that's what I'm thinking and the way I'm leaning. Thanks for the advice!

Stephen, we are looking at eventually looking at moving in to multi-family, but I really like providing nice SFH's for our renters and the liquidity of being able to sell to retail buyers and not worrying about selling multi family to other investors, like myself, who are looking for deals. We will probably move to multifamily eventually.

Joe, we are just looking a the benefits of saving that 9%. I work full time and our properties are our passive investments but I'm just looking to see what other landlords are doing with their properties. For example, our thought process is once we get to $10K in monthly rental income that would be an additional $900 we would save if we self-manage. I really don't want the headache of self-managing but I see if their is point where it makes more sense to self-manage and save that 9%.
