Hello biggerpockets,

What would you suggest for somebody who is looking to begin working as an agent who specializes in investing. How to successfully get started? What companies i would better work with?

The thought of being a traditional agent with focusing on regular home buyers doesn’t attract me at all. I have been spending every available minute studying, reading, listening all I can find about real estate investing and this is what drives me and this is where I want to be. And also I live in NY. Are any investor friendly agents there? How did you start? Or do you think I would better working with other markets as a beginner?  Please any advices?

Thank you

Irina

Hello biggerpockets,

I recently passed my state exam to become a licensed salesperson and I want to fully immerse myself in the world of Real Estate.

I would love to work with a broker who can possibly act as a mentor and guide me through my first couple of months as an agent. In order to be the best you have to surround yourself with the best.

There are so many real estate companies on the market , If anyboby can advice what characteristics I would better pay attention for, I would be grateful. I am focusing on renting/residential sales/investment. I mainly want to help investors find property, whether it's buy and hold or potential flips. I know that NY real estate market is tought enouth, but If you want it bad enough you will get it!

Hello everyone,

I stumbled upon this site and feel that I will hang here for a long time=) I am diving into new world of REI right now as deeply as I can and BP is full of useful information.

I am getting my real estate license and gathering as much information along the way to my first purchase and as my next step - I am figuring on working with the right Agency/Brooker. If there is any advice or direction you could point me in it will be helpful.

Thanks,

Irina
