That's a tough one.  You know the saying if it's not broke don't fix it. But in this case there is more on the line than hurt feelings.  I would seek out the advice of a real estate attorney.  Let him look over the lease and ask if it is indeed a "legal" agreement, as well as ask about your PM relationship. 

I'm sure there are other liabilities that could be incurred with this type of business transaction that could affect your whole family.

My name is Ira Sellers.  I was born and raised in Greenville, SC. 

I am presently a full time sales professional in the High Tech Automation industry here in Greenville. I have always had an interest in real estate from my time as a college student building homes part time, to the do it yourself home renovations. I presently own one property that I lease, my first purchase as a home owner, a one bedroom 1 bath condominium in the North Main area.

My goal is to break free from the sales industry and join forces with my lovely girlfriend,  Ginger Brewton.  Did I mention Ginger is a big shot interior designer that has an incredible talent.  She's been featured in numerous magazines and show houses around the southeast.
