a regiional bank is  fine  for your checking / savings  account needs ...they likely wont be  your  best  bet  for  loans  in the future

Interesting, I figured they'd be easier to build a relationship with and use for investments. Do you usually stick to the bigger banks for your loans ?

Hi ! I'm looking to establish an account with a regional bank in the Hampton Roads Area, Any reccomendations or preferences by those in the BP community use. Looking to start with a joint checking account first and build the relationship from there.

Have you tried Primis bank? They are in the Williamsburg area and they lend to one of my clients who is big in fix and flip investments.

Ahhh I haven't will have a look at them. Thanks for the head up !

I work with a mortgage broker who gives me every loan product in America

Nice! How did you find your broker? Was their criteria you used or just shopped for the best rates by calling around ?

Ahhh those are insane numbers, I'd eventually love to get into STR in VB as part of my strategy, definitely need to build up more capital first but always on the lookout for a good deal.

@Iqral La rode @Riley Harrison Look for Hampton Roads Investor Group, PREIA, TRIG, and Hampton Roads Landlord Association. All of these are on Meetup and Facebook groups.

Thanks. I'll look these up ! Virginia Beach seems like a great area for STR, did you utilize BRRRR for your Airbnb out there ?

Hi Riley,

I'm new to the area as well, as well as new to real estate great thread. Are there any meetups planned for the area? Seems like. there's a lot of nuance to the Norfolk area. For me multi families make a ton of sense.
