Just came from an inspectors education conference, and found out the spray starch is a myth..........not true....from an industrial hygenist that wrote the laws for meth in Colorado.

I tryed to find something about the starch with meth and could find nothing to support that. Would like to know if anybody knows about this or is this a saying that somebody started. I will stick with the test kit I use now until I find something better. Meth is still a large issue as you do not have to be making in the house, smoking can cause residuals also. The rumors is that more of it is now produced in Mexico and then shipped up here, so there is no less use around. They say only one in ten houses are found. Look at video on my web site under meth.

Mike, I do not know if that is true. I get my test kit from a forensic company that sells to law enforcement. These are the same type they use. Mike, have you used this and gotten a positive results? Let me know, thats interesting if true.

Tim, over the last couple of years while watching a tv advertisement from drug free america, about a guy at the doctors office coughing, the nurse ask do you smoke, answer no, do you drink, answer no, do you do drugs, answer no. Then it says he is living in a meth home and does not even know it, so now who has the drug problem. That started me into looking at testing for meth for my own sanity. It concerned me I was inspecting houses and knew nothing about the effects of meth, now I do. Now I can sleep at night.

If you want to know why you should test for meth go to my web site under meth section and see video from local tv investigation of people that bought meth homes and did not know it.

Tim, depends on your state regulations, here in Colorado must notify local health department in county then rules apply to more testing. inspectordave
