Thank you for commenting. It would be with a mortgage rather than outright cash. Although I haven't maintained a credit score stateside considering I left in 2010, I can qualify based on my finances where I live. I have a near perfect credit score.

I'm originally from NY, now I live abroad permanently. I'm wondering how to best go about getting into real estate. My goal is within 5-10 years to be making a monthly profit that matches our household income (currently 6.5k USD monthly but will likely increase overtime). I know nothing about which state is best to invest in, and obviously I would be using a property manager. How do I get started?
