Post: Commercial Real Estate in DC Metro Area/PG County

Thank you both for your reply. I’m looking for a commercial building (preferably industrial/warehouse style) with at least some outdoor space and parking or room to add parking. The location is PG county but as close to DC as possible. I’ve been looking on loopnet and saw two potential properties in opportunity zones but didn’t receive response when I inquired with the listing agents. I think my biggest hurdle will be money/financing so would really like to find some commercial lenders to discuss what is even possible in terms of my plan and what space is feasible within that. I plan to explore resources and options with the SB, but figured I’d start with the BP community.

I have a business idea that will require physical space so I am looking for commercial real estate resources (I.e. recommendations for agents, lenders, etc.) for small businesses. Also if any one has business development consultation/resources they’d recommend, please share.

@Nicholas Aiola thank you for taking the time to share your expertise with so many. I'm learning so much from reading this thread. My question is how to you suggest a newbie REI find a good tax specialist for their area? What are some things to look for when searching?

@Tim G.

Thank you for this refreshingly enlightened perspective and calling out the lack of empathy and understanding about long lasting effects of racial racial in equality on wealth, particularly in real estate, in addition to other social issues. Im relatively new to REI and as a black woman the commentary on so many of the post, even from Black people, is so disheartening. There's so many ways to became wealthy and continue to increase your wealthy without disparaging and discriminating against the "poor" and everyone could do better, grow, and have more opportunities if they took a moment to see beyond themselves and consider the societal histories and current events as a whole before saying such ignorant, bias and often clearly uninformed things. Thanks again for your refreshing comments!

Though I've purchased and sold home for personal use I'm an REI newbie finally ready to take the leap. I'm interested rental properties in Houston, TX. My search has been inner loop primarily within 77004/77002/Downtown. This is my first BP post but looking to connect with others who may already be investing in the Houston area or may have pros/cons to share about the rental market in the area from their experiences.
