Post: Foreign Nationals - Who do you bank with?

Hi everyone,

I'm a foreign national (do not live in the US + not a US citizen)

I've recently received an email that my Bank is closing all accounts that are held by individuals that are not resident in the US.

Does anyone have any advice re:

- A bank that will work with foreign nationals?
- How you receive your rent if you don't have a bank account in the US?

Thanks!

Hi all,

I’m an out of state investor in Chattanooga, and this will be my first Autumn / Winter owning in the city.

I currently have my lawn cut twice per month (in Red Bank) , I wanted to ask whether you think there is scope for me to have that reduced during the colder months?

And if so, how much you would scale back by and for how long?

Thanks so much! :)

I’ve just been transferred to this group and already struggling to get hold of them for payment details

Hi All,

Could anyone possibly direct message me the direct contact details (email or phone) if anyone working at Specialized Loan Servicing?

I have read all about them and know how terrible they are, trying to get in contact with an actual human being to work through everything with.

thanks so much!

Post: Foreigners - how to receive rent

I have recently placed a tenant in a unit I've purchased. I have an American Bank account, but I am a foreigner living in another country.

Does anyone know how I can receive the rent from my managing agent?

 - I cannot use Venmo / Zelle / Cash app from outside the US

- I obviously cannot cash a check

Is there anyway to receive rent without having to wire it and pay exorbitant fees?

Thanks all!

Hi All,

I've just closed on my first single family in Tennessee.
I've just called the various utilities and been informed that I would need to come into the office in person in order to have the accounts switched over into my name.
Obviously this is not ideal as I do not live in the country.

Has anyone found a way to get around having to register power / water in person?? :)

Hey everyone, just wanted to pick up on this thread, and ask how important an enclosed garage is in Red Bank?

If a unit has an undercover area for parking and a tool shed in the garden, is a garage a must?

Basically investigating the possibility of converting Ana teacher garage into an extra bed and bath, and putting up and undercover parking area and tool shed to compensate?
