Hello! Out of curiosity, would anyone have any recommendations for an investor-investment focused commercial broker in the Edmonton Alberta, Canada market? Much appreciated.

What exactly are you looking for? Multi Family, retail, industrial? Did you find someone yet?

Hi Hai Loc,
Thank you for your willingness to help me find properties. Specifically, I am looking for smaller multi-family properties with a maximum of 20 units, as well as triple net commercial properties such as gas stations and hospitality properties in Edmonton, Alberta. I have had some difficulty finding suitable agents, so I would greatly appreciate any referrals you may have. Your support is much appreciated.

Not many NNN in Canada in general US has plentiful

Hello BiggerPockets Family, My name is Kevin, I have been a bigger pocket fan for more than 2 years, and listen to the podcast every day in the car, As I am getting more serious about investing in real estate, I want to use the resource like a mortgage calculator or rental calculator, but none of them I think to Apply for Canadian houses? Is there a Canadian site for Biggerpockets? so I can start using the calculators or how do fellow Canadian use the calculator on Biggerpocket?  Greatly appreciate the answers! Apology in advanced for being a newbie here!

What Calculator are you looking for? All I will tell you is if your putting 20% down on any single property, after you press(=) on the calculator it will start with (-)

I was trying to use the Rental Property calculators since it didn't work for Canadian home address. And Yes LMAO everything is negative right now doesn't matter how much the listing price is.

Thank you for taking the time to answer tho!  Do you know If Bigger pocket has meetings for Canadians? Since I see you are from Toronto?

There are usually local networks..  In Toronto there are many.. I am sure Van City has some too.. I knew a group of Asians but this is like a decade ago lol  not sure where they are at now

Be very careful when using LLCs due to the Canadian Revenue Agency's view of LLCs -

I'm unsure what would be the better option due to CRA rules. If I put the property in a C-Corp then I have to pay corporate tax as well as all the other taxes for foreign property. If I put the property in an LLC then I can maybe avoid some of the corporate costs, but I'm unsure what other problems I will face.

 I agree with @Chris Picciurro

You better get real tax advice before choosing LLC
