My apologies for the delay, in the mid's of getting a home for me and my family, we got this issue with a commercial landlord after my wife closed down the doors of her business. The landlord is suing my wife for braking the contract. She had to pay close to $5000 monthly, so we hired a contracts lawyer, he said the company who is suing my wife could go against her assets and here in Texas those are my assets.

i have 2 rental properties, can those be protected after i put them under an LLC?

Well, this story got interesting.

My wife closed her business, the biggest issue is she sign a contract with a landlord for 4 yrs, and she was only 1 yr in the contract so she has 3 yrs left.

i have 2 rental properties that i need to protect, i just created an LLC but dont know if having them under the LLC will be enough.

Hello everyone, I hope someone can help me on this one.

I just finish paying for an investment property in Dallas Texas and I have tenants in it already but I have not put it under my name yet.

What is the best way to transfer the title to my name? Can I do it by myself?

My brother and I are close to finish our first rehab here in Texas, I am buying the house from a good friend, so we are still making payments, he agreed to help us and to put the house under our name when it is ready to sell. Now that we are weeks from finishing and before we have the house under our name we want to do it under a company name to protect our assets.

We want to know what business structure is best for us. Is it better to do an LLC under one of us or a partnership with both of us in it? What gives us more liability and tax relief and what else should we take in consideration?

Thank you for reading.
