@Kevin Zolea that's some good information, when searching homepossible, I see alot of info on home ready loans as well which seems to be the Freddie mac and Fannie mae equivalents to eachother. I'll make sure I ask my lender about those loans when I get in contact.

That's great Kevin, I look forward to hearing about your purchase when it goes through.

@Kevin Zolea

Thanks for the advice, I'll do some research on the home possible loan. What do you think would be the biggest upsides to going with a home possible loan VS FHA when they are both low down loans?

Oh and best of luck on your search for a househack, what market were you hoping to find a property in?

Hello BP,

I'm new to the forums.

I have a goal to purchase my first property with an FHA loan this year to househack.

I was wondering what is the best way to analyze a multifamily property when being used as a househack? I want to try to do my best to make the best purchase without overpaying.

I would appreciate help from anyone willing to offer :)

@Kevin Zolea

My plan is to house hack. Hopefully find a 3 or 4 unit and purchase it using an FHA. Good luck on your search.
