Worry not. I hadn’t planned on irresponsibly leaving construction trash on the curb. Hence the title—economic AND legal. Don’t want to deal with fines and the ire of my new neighbors.

It’s $2.69 per sqft at floor and decor plus $0.64 per sqft of the padding.

Post: DIY or farm it out? An informal poll.

Hi! About to start my first diy reno on a property. My workforce will likely be yours truly plus one hired helper. What would you tackle on your own vs hiring a pro on? 1. demo of parquet and vinyl flooring in living and kitchen 2. Demo of tile in baths 3. Painting cabinets 4. Interior paint 5. Changing bath vanity 6. Changing light fixtures I’m pretty handy but not a professional construction background. Thanks in advance for any tips!

Hi! About to start my first diy reno on a property. I’ve been checking out flooring options and am really liking the AquaGuard vinyl plank at Floor and Decor. Does anyone have any experience with it? Any other options that you loved? Thanks in advance for any tips!
Ahhh. There’s the rub. First, Newark is still an urban environment. The space outside of the home, ie Street, is considered a part of the city’s property. I’d have to get a permit to park a dumpster there. Additionally, there’s condo by laws I’ll have to abide by. Second, I’m operating as my own GC. So you’re talking to the contractor and the primary person doing the moving of the trash. 😁😳😩

Hi,

I'm rehabbing my first investment property soon.  This townhouse is in Newark. While it has an attached garage and small shared driveway with the townhouse next door, i'm pretty sure the next door neighbor will not take well to a dumpster parked by his/her car.

Any insights on what i should do with the reno trash?

Thanks in advance for any pearls.
