Hello, need some advise on what to do with our current house. We have a single family house in Everett WA that we purchased in 2011, we owe about $150k and our mortgage is pretty low.

We are debating about selling the house which on the market we are now i can probably sell for about 450k (estimate) or should i just hold on to it and rent it? We can probably rent it for about $1700 up to $2000 a month.

We are planning on just renting a small apartment for now since we are moving out of state and we do not know the area yet and possibly buy a house in the future and so we would need some cash for the downpayment which the sale would help with.

Any advise would be appreciatted.

Thanks for reading.

I would suggest selling the property and purchasing a multifamily that would cashflow 6 times as much as your single family home with a lot of equity in it.

Thank you

We can have someone rent the house and pay the mortgage easily, I heard a lot of negative things about a HELOC

I would like to reinvest the money elsewhere not sure where i would start.

What is your mortgage amount?

We pay about $1200 a month on the mortage

We are at the highest home prices ever and nobody ever went broke taking profit. I’d probably lean towards selling and reinvesting the money elsewhere that provides you much higher returns.

Shoot me a DM if you have any further questions. Would love to discuss further.

Thank you Mary

Thank you. The goal is to find a place that is within an hour of the beach at least. An area with good and safe parks to visit with the family safe neighborhood and where the climate is not too crazy. I am debating between Tampa and jax, and set up a search on redfin with some of the must haves for a house and Jax has a lot more quantity then Tampa. At least it feels like it when browsing all the emails.

Thank you.

Thanks for all the feedback and for the different views of the different areas.

Hello BP family,

different type of post,

our family is planning on moving to Florida this year, we are a little tired of the weather in WA state. We have not decided between Orlando, Tampa and Jax to which place to move to.

I would like to connect with someone that i could pick his/hers brain in the best areas to look into buying a house and where i could be finding a good neighborhood to raise a family.

My plan is to quit my job and once i am settled to look for a job there, I am in the auto industry working as a service advisor we will be renting our house here in Seattle and we have a rental property in Detroit that we are trying to sell to use the cash to reach other goals.

I will also be looking to grow into real estate investment.

Thanks for reading.

Thank you all for your time and answering my question. We will try to contact the company one more time. It's called portfolio property management. And if nothing changes we will get in contact with a different company or if we find anyone in the area who wants to manage our property. Thanks
