I want to know how much equity is available on a house that is listed on either Zillow or Realtor.com. so i know how much room i have to play with. I think there is a formula for it -- maybe loan to value.

I have been looking on Zillow, Realtor.comand Redfin for some deals -- far and few between. Any suggestions for a site or free program that can search for deals?

Also, what is the formula to find the equity of property listed on these sites?

I can't find anything in the tax records and like i said the housing authority passes doesn't know anything.

The real issue  I found is that the federal government stepped in and made the county and city housing authorities merge. but once again no one knows nothing.

Thanks for the info.

There is an abandoned apartment in my area. It was HUD apartments and from what I was told from one of the former maintenance men the county/HUD decided to close it down because it would take to much to repair it. I called the local housing authority and no one knows anything about it. Any suggestions on where I can find out more information on this property would be very helpful. I am stuck on it. Thanks in advance.

I came across a property that is in pre-foreclosure that needs some rehabbing on Zillow.

The ad states the I need to contact a Pre-forclosure specialist, which I did, so far no reply. I will make contact with another agent.

Is this something that I could 100% financing on? Where would I start?

Thanks in advance for any input.

Thanks for the suggestions.

I am thinking of looking for a duplex, triplex or quadplex to start with. Any suggestions on where to look? Any suggestion on how to obtain financing?
