@Taylor Zenter yeah, I would be willing to do that. I just added you on facebook

I can get $20k together for a down payment on a rental property. I'm looking at locations in California between Los Angeles and Santa Barbara, any suggestions, or tips?

Thank you Jenkins, good to be here!

Thank you Brandon!

It's great to see all these resources coming my way so fast. I'm especially grateful for that article, who knows if I would have come across this website otherwise?

Hi Eric,

Thank you, glad to be here. I heard about this a few months ago, but I simply forgot about it because I didn't and won't have a car in the area for about another month. Thank you for reminding me about this. I'll try to attend some of their events as soon as i can, and i'll check out their youtube channel.

Hey Mehran,

My plan is to put aside about $20k and then i'll start looking for properties. I started about a month ago putting my savings into stocks, and I have a strategy in mind that will probably be a nice boost. I know it's risky, but like you said, I have time on my side. Other than that, I'll have a part time job this summer. Working for a real estate investor would be my top choice if that comes up.

And about SB being a party school? Yes! Our motto is "work hard, play hard." And i wouldn't have it any other way. I personally only party usually once a week, either Friday or Saturday night. It's a good time.

Hey Minh,

I guess that's right! It feels good to be a millionaire already.
About mom, well simply put my dad's financial success is her financial success. In fact her birthday is in a few days, I have to think of a gift.
I'll look up K. Marie now, thanks for the suggestion. Have a great day!

Wow! I'm grateful for all these helpful encouraging responses.

Hey all, I'm excited to be here! I think I've come across exactly what i needed. My name is Harrison Goldblatt, unfortunately my Real Estate experience only goes to the extent of reading a few books, and a 3-day "Rich Dad Education" course taken last year.

I grew up in Van Nuys, CA. I curently attend UC Santa Barbara, just about to finish my first year as an Econ/Accounting major. My goal is to somehow have a few rental properties by the time I graduate, and if possible, help my father retire. He has worked hard all his life, and i believe i can show him the light at the end of the tunnel through Real Estate investing. Also, I'm not afraid to admit, I want to be a millionaire!

I came across BiggerPockets by googling items such as 'invest in land' and 'invest in real estate' and i came across an article called "How to invest in Real Estate Starting at a Young Age."
