Thank you so much all for your valuable inputs. Really appreciate the advice and time. I am going to keep it in mind. I will be at the property tomorrow and have called 3 different companies to come in and give me an estimate. Hopefully it is not an insane 10k.

Thank you so much Jason. Appreciate your advice. I will check with my agent. I think he confirmed me that I am having Water Backup but not Sewer Backup. But he will still like to know the claim to confirm me if they can approve it or not.

Hi Friends,

I have a property in Buffalo that I bought in August. My PM informed me that the sewer line from basement to street seems to be broken and is backing up in basement since yesterday. This could be due to heavy snowfall recently.

He is estimating this to be an expense of about 10k. Anyone else here who had a similar issue. How much did it cost to repair?

Also, is this covered by insurance?

I just invested in a property in Buffalo, NY. This is my first investment in Buffalo. Keeping my fingers crossed for everything to go smooth. :)

I am so glad I found this forum. I will like some reno to be done on the property. Like Door & Window work, Flooring, Kitchen etc. I will be very thankful if anyone can share the reference of a good handyman/contractor. Someone who is reliable and you guys had an experience with.
