There are also loan limits depending on the amount of money you put down.  Check out the VA Guaranteed Home Loan Webinar.  It will give you a very good run down of the program and process.

As a newbie myself, I've spent time educating myself by signing up for the BP newsletter, listen to podcasts, and join a webinar or two...or three (all which I've done myself).  

I also read Buy It, Rent It, Profit: Make Money as a Landlord by Bryan Chavis.  It is an awesome read! What I like most about the book is his focus on gathering data about the location you're looking to invest in rather than just jumping on the cheapest property that comes along.  Definitely worth a read!

I'm a few months out from purchasing my first property, but I'm feeling more informed and comfortable about what's next.

Looking for advice on good residential around Keesler Air Force Base and in Harrison County. (i.e. Gulfport, Biloxi, Long Beach). 

I'll slowly start looking for a realtor and multi-family residence purchase sometime in late-March or early-April.

I've done some very basic research and noticed a lot of foreclosures in the area. I've also saw some low priced properties...not sure if this is due to their proximity to the ocean.
