Quote from @Joe Norman:

The Pros of the auto job would be full time income and a W2 for lending purposes which would allow you to start investing in real estate (either by buying a home to live in/househouse hack, or to rent out).

The Con of the auto job would be that you have less control over your time and earning potential.

The piece of information that we don't have, and I think is important before giving advice, is "what is your current financial/living situation"? If your living situation allows you to go a year or two with minimal income then maybe it makes sense to hop into real estate full time and build your business. However if you're currently burning through your savings to cover personal overhead then get a job yesterday.

Good luck!

Yeah my time control is my real concern, but i think i have to look into more pros and cons before i take decision. Thanks for your advice i appreciate it Joe.

Quote from @Brock Dowis:

I would do both if at all possible. More than likely you will not make a ton starting out as a realtor. The automotive job can be a good source of income while you learn your craft. W2 is very lender friendly as well. Keep it until you buy that first house hack!

Thanks for your advice i really appreciate it. Never thought about W2 before. But now i will look into it. Thanks Brock.

Hi everyone, just joined this group. Hope everyone is doing good. I’m 22 years old, did my associate degree in automotive technology. Now I’m trying to get my real estate agent license and will get it within 2 months hopefully. I’m not working right now. I’m little bit stuck rn, i can’t decide. Do i have to pursue in my automotive field and do full time job or do i have to start work in firm as a real estate agent after i get my licence, so i can start my real estate journey.  Need advice thanks
