There are people 3 times your age who aren't taken seriously due to vagueness and say things like

I'll do whatever it takes

I'm a hard worker

I want this more than anything

Without a plan words mean nothing, and you may want to refine your plan based on what other people say, but a rough draft of a plan is better than no plan at all when talking to others.

Thank you for these thoughts! I can see how my post came off vague, I will work more on getting to the point and explicating my ideas or thoughts! I currently have a plan on how I want to go about my path to FI. I should be more open about it and open to changes as well. I could also base my conversation with others off of that so they have an idea and a glimpse of where I want to go. Thank you again for the insight!

Hi Stewart! Thank you for responding. I looked multiple times and couldn’t find anything, but I just spent 10 more min looking everywhere I could via social media and found one! Thanks for the extra push!

Hello!

I am 19 years old and I have recently become the newest financial freedom finantic. To some it may seem like I am rushing, and too young, but I am looking for others who see differently. I am wanting to engage more frequently with people more knowledgeable and/or experienced than me. Someone, or others, who are thinking big as I am trying to do!

I want to start an event or meet up, but I am looking for more advice, suggestions, or tips from others and what they have learned from their experiences. I have heard the podcasts, but I want to hear more experiences, cover all bases, and just hear what you all have to say!

I am looking for more local interactions and people as intrigued as I am, interested in meeting on a weekly basis or even monthly if that’s what it takes! I have attempted to do so, but it can be difficult once I tell someone my age!

Al in all, being so “young,” what other suggestions/options are there other than starting an event?

I look forward to hearing/reading what the people here on BP have to say.

Thanks,

Hamilton
