Hi Demetrius! Thanks for reaching out…I was thinking there’d be a lot more investors on BP in the event venue market, but you’re the first one I’ve connected with. 
I have actually changed directions with my investing since I posted that a year ago. When the housing market became seller friendly, I unloaded 5/6 of our long term rental units, paid off our house with that and invested in stocks and mutual funds…completely no fun, right?? :) as for now, my next investment venture is Short Term Rentals. I just finished the BP book by Avery Carl and am hoping to borrow from ourselves to fund our first vacation rental. 
An event venue has never left my mind of course. There are a few in my area that I keep an eye on to see how successful they might be and I’m always looking for properties with potential to be something grand. So I guess id say my venue dream is on the back burner while I accomplish a few other goals in the meantime. 
I’ve also thought of plans for a smaller scale venue too. Dreams in the works I suppose.

I’ve been dreaming the last few years of starting an event venue, something for weddings, gatherings, etc., preferably with a great outdoor space. Ideally, it is something we can renovate ourselves. We currently have six rental units (single and multi family) and one flip under our belt. We have the drive to achieve whatever we put our mind to, the skills to create a very unique and desirable space, and the finances to back up our investment. Is there anyone out there who can tell me what else we need? I was hoping to connect will someone with some event venue experience. I want to make sure this is something I have no doubts about prior to jumping in. Thanks BP!
