My name is Charles, and I am currently a third year law student at UCLA. I was turned on to this website last month at a wedding by my friend's buddy. What an amazing source of info. I have always wanted to invest in real estate, but didn't know where to start. California seems too expensive, and I never thought about looking outside of the state until now. Anyways, my fiancee and I are considering moving to Chicago to start our careers.

Great to meet everyone!

More factoids: My fiancee and I graduate next year. She will be an accountant likely working for one of the Big Four. I am hoping to work for one of the Big Four as a tax attorney. Neither of us will have any debt (our school and board was paid for). We have been looking at foreclosures in Milwaukee and Grand Rapids. It seems that it is possible to purchase a home for ~$80k with rents around $700-800. We are still learning about the 50% and the Rule of 2%.
