@William Hollis The virtual events would be run on Zoom which is just a video conferencing app. If there is no heightened threat on meeting outdoors around this time which is Holloween, Myself and my partner Brett would be willing to do an outdoor patio meeting at this pub, they have a giant outdoor patio so we can make it safe.

I am more interested in doing the outdoor meeting myself for an hour or two as the face to face (even distanced) interactions would probably be better than over a zoom.

Hi All,

Hope everyone is safe and healthy during this unprecedented year we have been having thus far. I am writing up this post to guage interest in a Fairfield County investor meeting to potentially have outdoors on a patio socially distanced. It has been over a year since our first Patriot Realty Group sponsored investor meetup which was very successful, since then I have been getting asked when the next will be which has been hard to answer due to the nature of the year we have been faced with. I am also throwing out the option to do this via a Zoom where we do a virtual happy hour/meeting.

What are all your thoughts?

Hey Gregor,

how did the first meet up go? I would interested if you have another meet up.

I am a local contractor & rehabber who's looking to add buy and hold investments to strategy.

Hey Tyler,

The meetup went really well! Lots of new faces and backgrounds showed up. We will most likely have another one of these in the first quarter of the new year. Message me your email and ill make sure to add you to our mailing list when we send out the date!

Hello Everyone!

My name is Gregor Vidmar and I have been a member of biggerpockets for a while and enjoy following all the podcasts and forum discussions that have helped me get to where I am today. I am an active buy and hold real estate investor and currently have 2 rental properties and am closing on a third within a months time (3F in Danbury, CT). Recently my close friend and real estate investing partner opened up our own brokerage and wanted to network and meet other like minded individuals that are interested in real estate and its various investing strategies.

In an effort to get like minded individuals and professionals from surrounding industries together to meet (Accountants, Lawyers, Marketing, Insurance, Tech) we have decided to make our very first official BP announced meet up at none other than the Meeting House Pub in Bethel, CT on October 26th beginning at 3PM. We will have our own sectioned off room to hold this meetup and to kick things off in proper manner, our brokerage (Patriot Realty Group) will be offering beverages and appetizers.

There will be no fee or pitching of any products and will be open to participant suggestions on how to structure the meeting to get the most out of it for everyone. Ideally we would like to have everyone share what they do and their interests in real estate in a non-formal manner just to get to know everyone. Our goal is that we have this meeting at this location every couple of months to continue to expand everyone's knowledge and network with like minded individuals.

Feel free to reply below if you are interested in coming and if you have any thoughts or suggestions on how to make the most of this meeting!

Hello All,

I am a newly licensed agent in Connecticut. I got my license primarily to help me find my own deals and help those around me with investment purchases or buying/selling a home personally. I currently have one rental and am actively looking to build my portfolio of rentals with the goal of obtaining 1 a year going forward.

I am a big fan of the BP podcasts (currently on episode 155).

@Virginia Jones I really like your google spreadsheet, is there anyway you can share a blank version it so I can try it out myself?

@Andrew Postell Thank you for replying. I think we need to approach banks and specifically ask if they have a portfolio lending service that they offer first and foremost.

We actually already have one banked lined up that will lend in the LLC's name while we personally back it with an ARM at a higher percent.

To answer your question, my partner and I always had this idea that we would create a buy and hold real estate business and treat it as a business by having an LLC setup. As weird as this may sound we are doing it more to establish a business and credit for that business more than for protection of personal assets. Our vision is 10 years down the line we created an entity that produces cash flow and that we can take loans out from directly instead of always relying on our personal credit/Debt to income ratios and such.

We are still in the research phase of how we want to approach our financing starting out. With what you have said in terms of portfolio lending, I am going to use that going forward when I talk to lenders to see if they offer that. Really appreciate that tidbit.
