I understand.  So, that's the "what" - how would you go about finding that info?

Thanks, Chris - I appreciate that and will be diving in.

Fred, thanks for your thoughts as well.

In terms of area trends - just to ensure we're on the same page, what trends were you referring to? Listing and sales data?

I pay for stats on a monthly basis, which have a breakdown of each community within each city, price-band, attached vs detached.  I have the ability to look at larger trends as well - eg.) 5 years, year to year etc.

With all of that said though - this info is largely for the Fraser Valley, Greater Vancouver Region, and Metro Vancouver Region.

Are these the trends you were referring to?

I can reach out to a realtor in an area I am interested in and have them send me similar stats - if you have a different suggestion, please let me know.

Hi there - what is everyone's current go-to resource or strategy for accurate vacancy rates in Canada?  Eg.) Call a property management company or realtor in the city you're looking to buy.  Does anyone have any other suggestions, or have a go-to website?  Thanks!
