Just looking for input and suggestions on where I can find funding to use as a down payment for a hard money loan. We're trying to close on our first property, but we keep getting stuck when it comes to finding a lender because so far everyone is requiring a fairly large down payment.

Hey guys. Does anyone here know anything about how to get info on foreclosed properties currently owned by the bank, especially how to get contact info for whoever is representing the sale of those properties?

@Patrick Franta Thanks for the info and advice! I'm currently focusing on other strategies like buy-and-hold and BRRRR as a starting point. I will most likely be looking into buying condos for vacation/short-term rentals sometime in the near future so the info you've given me is very helpful. @Lane Kawaoka Thanks for the advice! I'm trying to see if other strategies like buy-and-hold or BRRRR would work better for where I'm at. I know there are some people who are trying to sell their properties for a great price, and if I analyze it properly, they might be able to produce good cash flow. I'm gonna focus on finding opportunities in my own backyard for now and move forward from there.

I'm getting started investing in Real Estate in Maui, Hawaii, and I'm very motivated to take action and find deals. I'd love to connect with like-minded people who have experience investing in Hawaii to gain knowledge and broaden my experience.
