@Patti Robertson We’ll be house hacking our current house and rent out one extra room that we do not use. I see a lot of rooms for rent online (Roomies, Zumper etc) and I do not know if I can just list it right away. As always, you are a wealth of knowledge! Appreciate your help so much!

Hello BP! Basically the title. Pros and cons? Did you have to get permit/have the place inspected? How do you file for tax? What are the things that you would consider?

Thank you in advance!

@Patti Robertson Wow! How is that even possible?? Do they know beforehand that it’s going to hit the market on that day? *Clearly I’m new to this game.*

Rents have increased in this time frame from about $1350-1400 for these units.  Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but our market is really competitive now.

Hi Patti! Any MF property that you know of selling under $250k? We’d like to live in one unit and rent out the other.

Hello!! In this hot market, any ideas how else to find a MF property in a decent area below $250,000? The MLS gives me limited options. We're first time home buyer, planning to use FHA loan.
