Hi Bigger Pockets community! I'm looking to buy my first property and I was wondering if anyone might be able to point out any major holes in my plan/any major things that I need to pay attention to.  Here's the run down:

I've had an offer accepted on a property near Atlanta, GA. It's in a rural area and I plan on paying cash for it and building the home my self. I figure the next step before closing is to get any soil sample tests and surveys done to make sure I know everything there is to know about the land and to make sure the county will approve the septic system. After that I'm not sure what else there is to figure out. I've also already done extensive research on the city's zoning laws as well so I feel like I understand for the most part what I am allowed to build. Just trying to make sure i'm not missing anything vital so I don't get into a terrible situation. Thanks for any advice!
