@Carolyn Fuller, you're heaven sent. I haven't heard of this SabbaticalHomes or never thought of renting it to international students. This is a brilliant idea. I have another future rental space near San Jose State. Thank you.

My friends and I are looking to buy a warehouse in Oakland or San Jose area. Anybody here can tell us where to start looking? Loopnet is not really a huge help. I wonder if there's no way we can find a 3K to 5K sq ft that is less than $1.5M? Any leads are greatly appreciated.

It is rented for several months now. I advertised using rentals.com, cozy, section8, apartments.com, and furnished finder. I got my tenants from apartments.com. They are both healthcare workers. So far, I'm happy with both of them. Wish me luck.

Thank you @Brian Garlington. Your condo HOA does not have one?

Thank ou @Bjorn Ahlblad, I would like to retire with multiple rentals too :) one day.

It is that time of the year; CEA renewal. As a landlord in Oakland for a single condo unit, do you have earthquake insurance? TIA

For those of us who have a good credit score and extra capital, where would you buy rentals and why?

Choices;

1. Houston, Texas

2. Miami ( note: I've read there are more and more tech companies moving in this area)

3. Atlanta (note: I'm looking at places near the hospitals to rent to traveling nurses)
