Hello BiggerPockets Community My name is Gonzalo and I currently resides on the Southeast part of Houston. Im 24 with a family, I currently work in the oil industry as an AutoCad Drafter but due to low oil prices I have taken a significant pay cut, during this last year I have been doing as much research into the Real estate Industry as possible. Im currently taking courses to obtain my Real Estate license at the end of this year and become a part time Realtor .My plans are to become a Realtor Part Time (while working) and transition to a full time Agent. After I feel like I learned the ins and out of being an agent I would like to invest in Mainly Flips and a few Rentals.

I have talked to a few people in the Real Estate Industry and have had mixed opinions as some say is a bad Idea to start as Part Time agent.I would like some Feedback either positive or negative if I'm heading in the right direction or if anyone has taken a similar approach.

Thank you in advance.
