@Godly Jack, there could be several reasons why you've been receiving low activity but I'm willing to bet this is a marketing issue. What platforms have you been using to market the unit? Were professional photos taken? Is the listing description accurate and includes nearby attractions (there are many in East Lake)? East Lake is a highly sought-after rental market, as we head into Spring, you should be having no trouble finding a reliable tenant. If it's not a marketing issue, maybe the rent is too high. If you're interested, I can help you out and/or refer you to a solid leasing agent. Feel free to shoot me a text or email for preferred communication (contact info is listed in my bio).

I was able to find a new leasing agent that I have more confidence in. I had my old agent use zillow, the MLS, and apartments.com. Professional photos were taken.

Is your new leasing agent also a property manager? I’m thinking of switching PM because I’m having somewhat the same issue as yours. My property is in Fulton. Thanks.

Yes he is also a property manager and he reached out to me on bigger pockets. It seems as thought property managers are some of the best people for the job

Do you mind sharing his contact info? You could also message me his info. Thanks

 Will send message

Have you tried Dekalb Housing Authority?  If it's on Zillow, share the link.

Can't share the link because I dont want to release the identity of the current leasing agent. But I will look into Dekalb Housing Authority. Thank you

What feedback has your agent given you? Look at the source of why the property is not renting before firing the leasing agent.

The main negative feedback i got was that the candidates dont like that there is no master bedroom or that the bedrooms are too small, etc. All things I cant change.

Does anyone know the best way to find a goo leasing agent? I own a duplex in East Lake, Decatur and have been really struggling to rent out the second unit
