Welcome Travis! Let me know if I can provide any information on the Minnesota market, I'm located in Minneapolis. Where in Minnesota will you be moving to?

It's also a good idea to check/ask for the TISH report. This will tell you what you must repair for city code compliance if you're purchasing in the city of Minneapolis, and will help guide your renovation costs. If the house is condemned/on the vacant building list, you must bring it up to current code, which can be much more expensive (for example, you might have to put a larger egress window in each bedroom).

I am a real-estate investing newbie, with three deals acquired in last few months (single family homes to flip). I've worked in sales, marketing and leadership roles in corporations, most recently as CEO of a small public company. I'm excited about my transition to REI and looking to build a lifestyle career.

We have an immediate need for insured, reliable subs in: demo, framing, drywall, painting, roofing, siding and concrete. I would also enjoy networking with mentors to learn how to structure deals for private lending/investing. I have already been asked by several people in my network about opportunities for lending/investing.

Stovall & Associates have experience with REI and contractors. I've not used them yet but interviewed the principle, Nick Stovall. He was very helpful and knowledgable. http://stovallassoc.com
