Post: Faxes over the internet?

I reckon I am confused. I tried to get cherry tree software to make me a fax modem in a day before I even owned a computer so that I could buy one and have the best of both worlds. He tried to explain the jargon of it all and it was greek but fax at the time spoke ascii text I think and Computers xt(s) text. Any ways I did not buy a computer for years after and I am sorry for it. Now all of them come with a standard fax modem and you can send or recieve fax from your computer and had I known it at the time I would have had the thing invented and be billionaire now but so would I when I thought of canning water for pop machines when I had my first drink of city water and felt so bad for them poor folks that never had country mountain spring. Seems I missed a few billion there again. Guess I wish I had as greater ideas as I did with I was 12 and 20 .

Fax over computer is something everone can do and yet I do not. You can do it with complex software programs or simple free ones and I think XP and later additions of windows has this all built in.

Now surely I have missed something about your inquiry or everone would have already told you this. Regardless you can send and recieve any documents you desire from the fax builtin to every modem I have seen in the past 15 years. Next problem is that if you do not have a fax modem then chances are you may not find one as they are becomming obsolete.

In fact I just verified that win 2k also has this feature in it and I believe windows 98 did as well but you had to buy software for 98 and I used to have one called e-communicate and a simple one called winfax I think that was free.

Wesley, you are so very welcome. Now please tell me how big a place that plano is and do you know old ms watkins from curtis watkins hatters? Some old country store I reckon... I have spoken to her by phone a few times but I cannot buy from her as she is shall we say a bit eccentric or different or something. She is a western hats supplies mostly but has some unique things you cannot find anywhere else that we may use once every 10 years but need a few of now and may want a lot more stuff if we could figgure out what she has.

Any help appreciated . I even lost her phone number now if you can find that even it would be great.

Since I have joined here I have been given 18 properties to sell and I do not have any training and know beans about this business and do not have the time to learn it right now. My idea is that some one on here will team up with me and guide me through it all and we will make some money. I will be buying and selling or just selling about 150 other properties shortly after we sell the first 2- 4 pieces. We also have some potential property in Canada that is up for grabs and all of the offering we have are dirt cheap and yet worth small fortunes and I just cannot see how they can fail.

The internet is the single most powerful marketing tool that has ever been invented. The same time one will spend on the get rich quick schemes could be applied with a bit or ambition to investigate things that are legitimate. Ebay is a prime oppertunity for folks but nothing is for free and most things not cheap. They require either time or money.

If you do not have the money to make money then you surely must have the time. Getting on ebay and doing relentless searches of what the suscessful people are marketing and how they do it would be a good start. It is not the final stop however. Please read my post of how we turned a 12 dollar hat into a 2.5 million dollar hat business that continues to grow. It all started on ebay. Actually the first week I sold about 200 bux worth ( my estimation ) for 7000.00 and folks screaming for more of the same.

Just yesterday we added another defunct hat shop and approximatly a 100,000.00 more in equipment to our invetory. How do we do this? Networking, hard work, 16 hour days and 7 days a week. Will I continue this schedule ? NO of course not but it got me started and in 5 years we will be worth 5 million in accessable cash and 10 million in facilities and equipment and will then cut back to 5 or 6 day weeks and 10 hour days.

What can you do ? See what others have done from vhs and dvd to walking stick to yard sell items.

Wish I was smart enough to train all to do this but then I would just look like the other scammers so I just continue to do it and hope you and others will follow.

We have programs we have developed that some may be interested in if they go on ebay but ebay also sells programs that may be better than ours just not sure.

Anyone living in the USA with a computer to read this and is still registering any complaints of anykind is just like the person complaining of having no shoes. That all hushed when he met the man with no feet.

Nothing is perfect but we got it about the best it gets and one thing for sure if it gets too bad then some one will stand up and do something about it and until then I think most of us can do about anything we wish as long as we are allowed to complain about it.

I am very happy to live in a place that allows the complaints instead of one that does not.

A guy dies and goes to heaven and get up there looking around and sees all the happy people riding on clouds and leasuirly walking streets of gold and all of them was so happy and so well fed and just so healthy looking and everyone was so contented and seemingly helpful. There was huge tables and all of them heaped full of all kinds of healthy and deliciou foods and they had this giant silverware on the tables there and he is just wondering about it all and if he fit in or not.

The guys says well this is not so bad but I am not really sure its all for me and he decides to check out what its like in hell. So he arrives in hell and it is almost lunch time there and here he sees the exact same scences that he had witnessed in heaven with one minor exception. The people was all so miserable and back bitting and scornful and would not share anything and then the luch call is made and he goes as they all run to the table and then he notices that there they are with the same HUGE TABLES of food and that giant silver ware again and them tables almost 5 feet accross and so long almost unending and just piled full of the finest foods and yet he realized the people was emanciated almost most starved to death and skin and bones and fighting and arguing and scratching and trying to eat with that giant silverware and yet it was so large that with all the plenty there was everywhere they could not utilize that giant silverware and thus could not get any food in their mouths hardly at all and was starving in a land of plently.

He thinks well I sure cannot take this and I am going back to heaven. He gets there instantly and it too is lunch time and he is wondering how all the people are so healthy and with that giant silverware why they are not starving to death. He then gets to that HUGE TABLE and sees them taking those 4 feet long spoons and feeding the person accross that 5 foot wide table from them and and how that everyone is feeding everyone else and as a result there is not only more than plenty for all but all are using it and sharing it and all are happy, healthy, wealthy and wise.

Just imagine a world with endless oppertunities and there they are all around us just like HUGE tables of food in heaven and all we have to do is share back and forth and every one will have all they want and it can be heaven on earth.

Think about it.

Mods or Admin stick this one if you find it worthy please.

Joshua, I have to defend you a bit and rightfully so I think. Forums and growing pains are a very painful thing. We have tried the works over at the SBS to make it a cmmunity for hatters and hat lovers and then also a general community in sections where friends could just meet up.

We had programmers that added code so we could do our own photo uploading and hosting. We added and removed moderation time and again. We opened a boxing ring for malcontents ( have to say it drew crowds but the wrong crowds and still no one participated) . You guys are in a thriving industry that is chulk full of oppertunities every day here. We are in a dying industry that is only dying due to the folks will not share and help and network and realize the oppertunities nor will they acknowledge how a community needs to share positive thoughts and helpful suggestions. Instead we have a small percentage ( ever changing) that do share and post and the rest only consume and never give to the community. They do not realize that even a thoughful passage from time to time will stimulate others. You have Paul Strauss here and we had had near clones of Paul from time to time and they give a forum viable. Other wise they stale and folks get tired of them.

I have to really compliment you here as you have arguably the most suscessful groups of people on the internet and surely the most busy ones and yet they will slow down to say hi and will be helpful and are nice. Sure there are exceptions but that is the rule. You are doing a bang up job here and Admin is no easy postition at all. I know from experience as I once had to remove a great admin from our forum and take over administration myself. Mind you I am not a great admin. The reason for it was it had gradually started down a slippery slide and our admin was friends with so many that had simply formed a hatred of me and he was just not weeding out the trouble makers. I finally got the joint cleaned up but that was far from a total fix and soon I had to retire as Admin for the health of the board.

Its no easy job and its a painful and growing and learning process and you are doing fine and have no appologizes to make to anyone.

You please keep up the good work and I am going to the motivational section that I posted in a while back and I am going to write a post that I hope will be food for thought for many. Its all a positive and a good thing and I hope all will go read it and then decide if they want to apply it to thier lives to enrich them personally and financially.

Thanks Gang for a place to make my rants.
