I don't know if you guys are familiar with Jersey at all but I was thinking about doing a house hack on a duplex possibly in the Rahway area and commuting to NYC from there.

Thanks for the reply's guys. And, yes this is about me. But I was trying to be discreet about it. Guess everyone figured me out! Currently I'm sitting on no student debt and am looking on obtaining a job in NYC real estate development. I know I am extremely blessed to be in this situation and I want to do everything I can to maximize my situation for the long-term. Let me know if you guys have any other suggestions tailored to my situation.

What would you do if you graduated college and you were handed 30k to do as you please. Note: you are unable to live with your parents and are going to be starting a job in NYC in a couple of months.

Hi Bigger Pockets. I currently live in the central NJ area and am 19 years old. I go to Rutgers and am trying a start a career in investing on the side and possibly go full time once I graduate. I have about 10K liquid cash in the bank and have an NY real estate license. Ive been watching bigger pockets stuff for a while and feel like I have a good amount of knowledge on RE investing. My mom is a NJ real estate agent and is friendly with a couple investors and contractors. I know I have a lot at my disposal that I can work with but I am unsure about which investment path I should begin with. Any suggestions?
