Joe, Danielle, and Yoendry,

Thanks for the welcome!  I lived in Tucson before I joined the military, so I know about the brutal summers.  My wife and I have family there and we plan on settling down once I retire.  Also, I believe Tucson is a pretty good area to invest in due to the different entities bringing in all sorts of people from all over the US.

Kao and Andrew,

Thank you for the welcome.  I am currently stationed away from Tucson at the moment so the challenge for me is going to be starting out investing from a distance.  I have always been a hands on type of guy, so that is a hurdle I know I will have to overcome.  I have read about successful long distance real estate investments, so I know it is possible.

Andrew,

Thanks for the link to the AZREIA.  I will definitely check it out.

Hello BP!

My name is G. Hays and I am new to the BP community and just taking this chance to introduce myself. I am currently in the military and discovered early on the power of real estate from renting and selling my house at different duty stations. I wanted to learn more about real estate investing and discovered BP through their podcast. I loved the content and learned a lot just by listening.

I was never really the type of person who is big into social media or forums or anything like that, but I like what BP stands for and I decided to give it a shot. My goals are to start building a buy and hold portfolio starting out in Tucson, AZ. I will be retiring soon and plan to set some roots there. I hope to start networking and getting the ball rolling towards my goal.

Looking forward to interacting with the BP community!
