Hello,

I am aware of all the different sites online that rank states upon their landlord-friendliness. However, as I am currently looking into assembling a portfolio of rental properties, I wanted them to be located close to myself:

Eastern South Dakota: Sioux Falls, Mitchell, Brookings, Watertown, Yankton, Vermillion...

Northwestern Iowa: Sioux City, Sioux Center, Spencer, Le Mars...

Northeastern Nebraska: Omaha (?), Norfolk, Fremont...

In terms of these states are there significant differences in rights for landlords? I am aware of the financial side of things such as differences in property taxes etc. but not yet familiar with the legal environment regarding the eviction process in those states etc.

Mainly, are there big differences or just slight differences to be aware of?

Would be great if someone has experience with those markets. Thank you!
