@Alex L.

That’s what I guess I’m getting at. That is gross profit. Once you start adding in office rent, supplies, utility expenses, insurance, taxes, etc. I don’t see how you would even turn a profit. Thanks for the feedback!

Is it possible to make money owning your own Property Management Company? I ran some numbers for my local area and it doesn’t seem profitable. Looking at 100 properties at average rent of $650/unit and a 10% management fee that’s only $65,000/year before expenses. Once you hire administrative help that cuts the profit by 1/2. Just wondering what I am missing.

We are looking to buy a vacation home in Orlando near Disney. The problem that we are having is figuring out how to finance these types of properties. The most recent property that we found is in need of some work as well as requiring the purchase of furniture.

What is the best way to finance vacation rentals?

This is a chance for investors in the Mon-Valley Area to gather together and discuss our investment projects, struggles, wins and anything else that pertains to local real estate investing in the Mon-Valley Area.

Depending on the interest I will adjust the meeting location but for now I planned to meet at the Starbucks in Belle Vernon, PA the address is as follows:
