Hi, and congrats on your success! I'm currently preapproved for a 203k loan in CT and I'm looking for a buyer's agent. I know you purchased in the southwest but does he have experience working in the greater Hartford area? If so I'd like to connect with him and see if he can help me find a property to fit my needs. Thanks!

I figured what Aaron said was the likely scenario and I can definitely see obstacles in finding all of them and even then I don't know what their attitude towards it would be. I also really don't know if deceased sisters children (nieces/nephews) have any rights to the property. I'd probably need a lawyer like Adam suggested which would add to overall expenditures. It's really a shame but I'll do a little more research before I completely give up on it..... though I'm not too hopeful. Thanks to everyone's input I really appreciate it.

Thanks I appreciate your input. I definitely know that I need to focus. I'm starting out and just want to get myself engaged. I'm not the type to do anything without being fully informed but I really just want somewhere to start. I guess I eventually want to own rental properties. Do you have any good books websites etc. you'd recommend?

Hi I recently came up with 15k to invest. I've never invested in real estate and currently don't own a home. I have decent credit (low 700's) and 15k to put down. My "vision" is to purchase a multifamily (2 or 3) fixer upper. I'm not a contractor but have done things like finish attics so I'm handy. I also know I won't be able to do everything myself and expenses will be involved. I'm open to getting a loan to supplement any extra income I may need. Eventually I'd like to purchase more property with the income generated and repeat the process. I could pick and choose where I want to live as I would never be tied to a property because I could always rent it out and move into a new property. Does anyone think this is even possible? Or am I looking at this the wrong way. I'm not a person that quits easily and I will put in the leg work to get it done. Any help would be appreciated, thanks everyone.

Hi everyone, i have never invested in real estate but am looking to start. I have a partial inheritance of land from my father in Puerto Rico. He died in 2004 and the land has been sitting there with an unfinished home ever since. I have 7 brothers and sisters that would also have partial ownership, 2 whom have since deceased. Some of us are in contact but some would be difficult to find. My father didn't leave a will, so there's no direct heir. Has anyone ever had a situation like this? I was interested in buying out my brothers and sisters but I'm not sure where to even start with this. It's in Isabela, Puerto Rico and really close to the Jobos Beach area so I wanted to repair and finish the house (if possible) or build a new home as construction would be less expensive. Not sure if I wanted to rent or Airbnb but I'm not really at that point yet. Thanks for any help anyone can provide.
