I second Mindy's advice.  Document as much as you can.  It may be MONTHS before you hear from the state - it may also be never.   If you scarred the thief enough when you let her go, she most likely will not file.  If she left feeling that she's been wronged then you're right to be concerned.

   I've fought unemployment claims in Illinois and won - mainly because the employee was fired for breaking written rules.  Lying on a time card should put them on your side - provided you can show the proof (be it a camera showing they're not there that day/time that they claimed (save the footage) on their timesheet, or whatever you have.   A strong timeline will strengthen your case!

Hi Anthony -

   Just joined as well - I live in Yorkville, IL.  Not too far from Morris.  Just starting out myself and hoping to get my first single family unit going this year.  If anyone does do an Illinois meet-up, I'll try and make it out as well.
