I don't think the Dec BP meet happened, but the monthly REIA meeting is just around the corner on Monday, Dec 21.

Anyone planning to attend ? My husband and I will be there, hoping to meet with at least a few of you there.

I've had a couple of questions, but since they're not related to introductions, I decided to post them in the starting out section. They're nebraska-related, and I couldn't find a better forum category to post in. Assuming no responses so far, I'm guessing I didn't post them in the right place, or the right persons didn't see it. Either way, here they are -

Where can I find purchase and sale forms for wholesaling in NE ? Question reposted to NE forum here

Looking for an Attorney or references in and around Omaha. Question here

Thank you !

Post: Nebraska Wholesale/Purchase/Sale Contract form

I figured there was a better forum to post the question in, so I re-posted the post in local NE forum. Moderator : Please feel free to delete this post.

I know at some point I will need to set up or fill out a contract when wholesaling, so I've been searching around for one that I can use. I've been looking around on the Tools/File Place for it, but all I can find is a generic contract form -

Wholesale Purchase & Sale Contract

I googled for purchase and sales contract forms, and found one from Texas Real Estate Commission/TREC, which leads me to believe that each state has a semi-official contract form that the RE Commission would use as a standard to do deals.

I did find NREC's site and a list of forms here - http://www.nrec.ne.gov/licensing-forms/formlist.html , but none of them bundle the purchase and sale together in one. Am I looking at it wrong ? Am I supposed to use multiple forms ?

Does anyone from Omaha/Nebraska have or use such a form ? If so, can you upload it either to BP's file place or link me to it ?

Thank you !

Post: Looking for RE Attorney in Omaha/Nebraska

I'm just getting started in RE, and based on what I've learnt so far, I understand it's a good practice to do any deals as a Business, either as an LLC or Corp. I prefer to do things right the first time, so I don't have to revisit them later. That brings me to my question. I need to talk to an attorney about getting a business set up, and I'm looking for references to attorneys in the Omaha/Nebraska area. Can anyone in the area suggest me local attorneys, preferably the ones you worked with and would recommend to newbies ?

Thank you !

Thank you all for a warm welcome !

@Ndy Onyido I do appreciate the advice. There's always value in advice, it just depends on how one sees it. That said, my husband works in Omaha, and he's my safety net in this. You do have a good point about funding and money; That is why I'm looking to wholesale to start off so I can accumulate money to use for deals down the road.

@Michael Boyer I'm not averse to looking for jobs, but there's almost nothing in Omaha area for me.

@Brian Johnson I did see that meeting and I have it on my calendar, and I hope to make it to that meeting.

Hello everyone, my name is Gayathri Acharya, I go by Gaya, and I'm from Omaha, NE. I've been lurking in the forums for the past 2-3 weeks, and I love the knowledge I've gained so far. I figured it's about time I introduced myself and started making connections.

About myself, I finished my PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences from UMKC, but the job I was offered was borderline insulting. So I quit in Feb this year, and have been researching Real Estate since then. I'm now at a point where I'm ready to start getting my feet wet, and start doing some deals !

Looking forward to talking to you all !
