This is excellent insight!  A few nuggets in there for me…if I can find them in real life!  Thank you for sharing.

Thanks all for the welcoming messages!  I'm stunned at the level of activity here and look forward to absorbing as much as I can.  If I can repay the favour in any way I'd be delighted.

@Donal Kearney that's very interesting - where in the US were you.  Hope you are glad to be back home.  I am still in the DD phase of purchasing in Tampa area but I'd hope to move early in the new year.  That's the plan at the moment.  I'd be interested to chat also.

@Colin G Murphy Thanks!  Are you based in Spain now?  Your website is blocked on my work computer!

@Jason Burgess I'll possibly be in touch when I get down to have a look at some options later in the year.

@Account Closed thanks for the message - be sure to say hi when you get to DC, plenty to discuss!

Hey @Todd Fithian thanks for the welcome - nerds unite!  You sound like you have a similar background to where I was coming from - my folks had me mowing grass and fixing things, collecting rents and making payments for their rentals business when I was younger.  (A while ago!)  I'm looking forward to diving into the forums and learning more.

@Russell Brazil - thanks for the note.  You were one of the first podcasts that I heard on BP and I found it very interesting.  I'll have a look at your blog and the article you refer to.

Hi there!

I came across this website/podcasts through a friend who was surprised I had never heard of it given my interest in real estate.

Its been three years since I moved to DC from Ireland - having lived in many cities around the world.  However the plan is to stay in DC for the foreseeable future, I love it here.  I spend some time in Florida and would be interested in the same type of units near Tampa.  My existing investment properties are in Dublin, Ireland.

Recently I purchased a new home in DC with a rental unit in the basement.  I hope to start expanding to include multi family units in the new year and would be delighted to hear of any advice, meet potential investment partners and share stories with others with the same interest.  This is exciting stuff - for me anyhow!  I'm not a nerd, honestly!
