Hi everyone!

I am now in need of your help!  My business partner and I have been looking for our first property in Kansas City and are looking for properties that are needing rehab in and around the city.  We have been in contact with a few real estate agents but have not gotten much help as they seem to think they are doing us some sort of favor and haven't been totally honest or helpful.  Although the market is very good it is riddled with people who are dishonest and short sighted which has made our search very challenging.  We are looking for someone with experience in investment properties who would be able to identify good rehab opportunities without us needing to do all the work.  Does anyone have a realtor they could recommend?  Thank you!

hi Dan, is there a reason you want to be so far out? Where there is demand there is growth both in the rental market and property appreciation. I live in Bloomington and am looking at mutlis in Minneapolis for the simple reason that the population is high in those areas and will stay high. You will be able to find multi family properties out away from the cities but the demand won't be as high so you may have longer vacancies when attracting tenants. What research have you done to lead you to multi family? Are you looking at commercial or residential?

Hey BiggerPockets members! This is my first post so hopefully it's not a dumb question! My business partner and I are trying to invest in 4 plexes around our city and want to be able to have a good draw to rent from us versus the larger and newer apartments in the area. Our plan is to purchase a B or C class 4 plex and fix it up to be B+ or A class property as there are no 4 plexes we've seen that concentrate on the more affluent market or younger market with a draw to Modernism design. My question is, how do you guys get your properties fixed up? Is the design up to the contractor or do you hire an architect or interior designer? We want to take older places and make them look like they were straight from Sweden! Thanks for your help!
