@Frank Wong Thank you for the insight. A lot of people here have suggested your route. There is obviously something here for me to learn. I will take a step back and understand this first before I pull any triggers.

@Pamela Sandberg Thank you for reaching out! I will not be shy to reach out if my mind wanders in your area!

@Account Closed Thank you for the resource. Your book recommendation is now in my queue! My ultimate goal is to stay local but I am not excluding any opportunities for my financial goals. I just have not cracked that code yet as a new investor. But I will!

@James Wise Thanks for the advice! That is a great idea.

Also, looking through your website, I admire what you have done with it. Great content!

@James Wise, to be honest, I was looking around for any market primarily focused on SFHs. I have been browsing markets from TX, OH, IN, TN, and MN.

I am currently in theory crafting mode so I have been playing around with numbers and spreadsheets to get a better understanding of what I am getting myself into.

My next step is to call and talk to people; networking myself and feeling out said places.

Minh's suggestion is giving me some thoughts about staying local. I am taking his advice to, at least, network myself in my local market and learn from others. I think there is a lot of information I don't know/understand just yet but this is just another opportunity for me to be patient, educated myself, and learn from the experienced.

@Tom Ott Likewise!

Minh,

Thanks for the advice! This is definitely something I had not considered. You make a very great point. I am trying to be thorough with my research and first purchase so I am in no rush.

With that said, can you advise any other events/Summits?  Unfortunately, I will not be available this upcoming weekend but am highly interested in networking and picking the brains of experienced individuals!

Cheers

Hello all!

I am a new (or soon to be) investor. I have generally worked a simple 9-5 tech job and have saved up some capital. In the past few months, I have found my passion for RE investing and have found myself consuming 10-12/hrs a day to learn more. I have not taken the leap but have taken steps to train myself in looking for opportunities.

My goal here is to network and learn more from others to help bring me to my financial goals.

Pretty excited to meet others and looking forward to working with everyone!
