I am a Residential Real Estate Agent in the state of Minnesota and have been looking into realtyshares as a possible recommendation to break into the RE investment world. Those who have experience or have heard of RealtyShares - What are your thoughts?

As a Residential Real Estate Agent, I am curious - where do/did you prefer to start your investment journey and why?

Single-Family Homes? Flip vs. Buy-and-Hold (Rental)

Multi-Family Units? Owner-Occupied vs. Renter-Occupied

Commercial Properties?

Great to meet you, Jeremy!

I always recommend a legal professional - you can ask questions and though they are more costly, should provide you with the answers you need to feel secure.

I hope this helps in your process!

Hey, Kevin!

Given the price of the property compared to the price of the repair work that would need to be done outright - as opposed to 'quick fixes' that could lead to more problems down the line, I would ask the seller to come in with you on the roof fix cost.

Rubber roofs can be difficult - I have a commercial property holding with a rubber roof/rock overlay and can empathize with your situation. You definitely would want to have that fixed well before being secure in your investment.

I hope this helps!
